РеСеа постаје друга организација која је добила сертификат под ДНВ ГЛ

DNV GL, the international accredited registrar, headquartered in Hovik, Norway, has certified ReSea under its plastic traceability standard called ‘Chain of Custody.’  This is a standard protocol that has been developed to assure the integrity and traceability of plastic recovered from the hydrosphere. DNV GL is a classification society whose operations involve safeguarding life, property, and the environment.

The ReSea project that aims to trace an ocean clean-up solution and is powered by ВеЦхаин. ReSea is a Danish company that cleans oceans and rivers in Indonesia to get rid of plastic and other non-biodegradable products. Eradicating plastic pollution will contribute to better living conditions for people. ReSea’s ocean clean-up project will also raise awareness to stop plastic pollution in and around Indonesia. The success of ReSea’s mission to make the ocean clean depends on the companies funding the project, and therefore getting the certification from DNV GL marks an important milestone. The support from DNV GL will also provide the required trust that will help them to employ more locals from the community for extracting plastic from their nearby water bodies.

The news of this collaboration was announced by the VeChain Foundation in response to an official tweet regarding this by DNV GL. DNV GL’s active involvement in the ReSea ocean and river clean-up project will bring in more transparency in the process, where the leading enterprise blockchain (VeChain) will serve as a transparency tool for tracing the ocean clean-up solution. Moreover, DNV GL’s certification also provides proof of compliance to selected projects that helps organizations to prove that the source of the material has not been mixed with any other components after extraction from a specific location like the ocean, river, or lake.

ReSea’s clean-up project is community-driven which means that it employs locals in the area to remove plastic from rivers and oceans around them. ReSea’s ocean clean-up project certification from DNV GL covers all sources from where plastics will be collected, including the removal of plastic from water by fishermen until the point of delivery to the designated waste disposal banks. The standard is modular, and therefore it can be applied end-to-end or from the point of extraction to the new products or the various parts of the value chain.

It also includes the ongoing real-time validation of the quantity of plastic collected from various sources. VeChain’s effective ToolChain platform, along with its mobile application, will be used to collect, monitor, and record data at every critical control point during the collection process.  VeChain, with its effective blockchain solution, will play a vital role in the project to completely eradicate plastic pollution in the water bodies. It will also help the  ReSea project store its sustainability efforts immutably.
