Elon Musk on Wednesday appealed a federal judge’s refusal to end an agreement between the Tesla CEO and the Securities and Exchange Commission, which requires oversight of his Twitter posts about the electric-vehicle company that stemmed from a 2018 цвркут in which Musk said he was considering a private Tesla buyout.

Musk will ask the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals to overturn U.S. District Judge Lewis Liman’s April decision to leave the consent decree with the SEC in place, according to судске документе.
Liman ruled the agreement would remain in place, rejecting Musk’s аргументи that the decree infringed on his First Amendment rights and should be terminated because he was coerced into the settlement, as he believed it would end the SEC’s “unrelenting investigation.”
